India’s archery stars delivered a masterclass in precision by walking away with eight medals at the Asia Cup Stage I. The team turned the tournament into a personal playground, particularly in the compound category where they swept the podium and left competitors trailing far behind.

The highlight was a thrilling showdown between teammates. In the men’s individual final, Uday Kamboj showed incredible nerves of steel. After falling behind early, he fired a perfect third round to overtake Prathamesh Jawkar, winning the gold with a narrow 145-144 score. Rajat Chauhan joined them on the podium with a bronze, completing a clean sweep for India.

The success continued as Tejal Salve claimed the women’s individual gold. She dominated the final against Mariia Dimidiuk, finishing with a commanding 144-135 victory. India’s teamwork was just as sharp; Chikitha Taniparthi and Rajat Chauhan paired up to snatch gold in the mixed team event after a tense battle against Malaysia.

While the women’s compound team fought hard, they narrowly missed the top spot, earning a respectable silver against Kazakhstan. These victories added to the bronze medals already secured by the men’s compound and women’s recurve teams earlier in the week.

By the time the dust settled, India had collected two golds, two silvers, and four bronzes. This massive haul marks a brilliant start to the international season, proving that India remains a global powerhouse in the world of competitive archery. The future looks incredibly bright for these athletes.
