SJ Suryah files petitions in the Madras HC

Actor-director SJ Suryah has filed a petition at the Madras High Court seeking to quash the claims of the income tax cases pending on him. According to reports, the movie star allegedly owes the income tax department an amount of Rs 7 crore and 57 lakhs. It is reported that the actor has not filed his taxes for the years 2002 -2003, 2006 – 2007 and 2009 – 2010. Reportedly, a notice was sent to the actor asking him to pay the dues. SJ Suryah has reportedly filed the petition at Madras High Court to quash the six cases filed against him.

Reportedly, the case was heard in the court and the judge dismissed SJ Suryahs petition stating that the actor should face the case of the income tax return as he was sent several notices.

On the work front, SJ Suryah was last seen in Don. He is awaiting the release of his film Kadamaiyai Sei with Yashika Anand. The trailer of the film was recently out and it was well received. He is also shooting for the films Bommai and Mark Antony.
