PM Modi invokes Lord Ram’s ideals for Viksit Bharat on Ram Navami

The festival falls during the nine-day Chaitra Navratri period and is regarded as an auspicious time for spiritual reflection, emphasizing virtues such as truth, compassion, discipline, and righteousness. Lord Ram, worshipped as the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, is widely seen as the embodiment of moral integrity and ideal leadership.

In a message shared on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the nation. He stated that the life of Lord Ram, often referred to as Maryada Purushottam, serves as a guiding light filled with sacrifice, restraint, and unwavering commitment to duty. According to him, these timeless principles inspire individuals to face challenges with strength and determination.

Modi further expressed confidence that Lord Ram’s teachings would continue to guide not only the people of India but humanity as a whole. He added that the divine blessings would ensure the welfare of all citizens and help the nation move steadily towards achieving the goals of a developed and self-reliant India.

Across the country, temples witnessed large gatherings of devotees celebrating the festival with enthusiasm and devotion. Rituals included fasting, devotional songs, recitations from the Ramayana, and vibrant religious processions, reflecting the deep cultural and spiritual significance of the occasion.

Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister also extended greetings on the eighth day of Chaitra Navratri, dedicated to Goddess Mahagauri. He prayed for happiness, prosperity, and good health for all, emphasizing the importance of divine blessings in everyday life.
