Enough fertilizers available for farming: Modi

NEW DELHI
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reassured the nation that India has secured more than enough fertilizer to support farmers during the upcoming Kharif season. Speaking in Parliament, the Prime Minister explained that the government has successfully diversified where it buys these supplies from while also boosting local production through the “Make in India” initiative.
The Prime Minister emphasized that these steady stocks are vital for the country’s food security. To further help those in the fields, the government has already provided over 22 lakh solar pumps. This move is designed to help farmers save money by reducing their daily reliance on expensive diesel fuel.
Energy independence was another major highlight of the address. Thanks to the success of blending ethanol into fuel, India now avoids importing 4.5 crore barrels of oil every year. This shift is significantly easing the pressure on the national economy. Additionally, the government has rolled out 15,000 electric buses to various states to promote cleaner, sustainable city transport.
Despite the ongoing crisis in West Asia, the Prime Minister assured citizens that the government is working hard to prevent energy shortages. High-level committees are currently finding new sources for chemicals and medicines while ensuring power plants have plenty of coal. By focusing on renewable energy and smarter import strategies, India is building a shield against global supply problems. These efforts aim to keep the economy strong while ensuring every farmer gets the resources they need on time.
