Shanaya Kapoor announces debut film ‘Bedhadak’; Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor and other stars congratulate young actress Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor is all set to take over the big screen with her debut film ‘Bedhadak’.
Filmmaker Karan Johar on Thursday made the official announcement and welcomed the starlet to the Bollywood film fraternity. Sharing her excitement about the project, she said, “I am extremely grateful and humbled to join the Dharma Family with #Bedhadak – directed by the brilliant Shashank Khaitan. I can’t wait to kickstart this journey, I need all your blessings and love!”
Making her feel the love was her cousins and her besties. Janhvi Kapoor, took the lead in extending a warm welcome with a post that read, “Oh my god! So stoked about this. So excited and proud of you @ShanayaKapoor02 you’re a star and I know you’re going to kill it!”
Shanaya worked as an AD on Janhvi’s film ‘Gunjan Saxena’.
The actress also extended her best wishes to her ‘Dostana 2’ co-star Lakshya saying, “I’m So happy everyone’s finally going to see how amazing you are on the big screen!”
“Gurfateh, can’t wait to see you shine!” Janhvi added.
Shanaya’s bestie Ananya also shared her love and support with a post that read, “This looks like so much fun!!! Can’t wait.”

In the past, Johar has launched a host of newcomers including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday, among others.
Khaitan, who directed the Bollywood launch vehicle of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter titled ‘Dhadak’, has written, produced and directed ‘Bedhadak’.
While Lakshya was set to debut with ‘Dostana 2’ that was shelved after Kartik Aaryan’s exit, Pirzada was previously seen in the film ‘Guilty’.
