The Shankaracharya and Ramanujacharya Jayanthi was celebrated at MLA’s office in Vidyaranyapuram.
The program was inaugurated with a floral tribute to the portrait of both the Acharyas and reciting of Vedas.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ramadas said that Shankaracharya who lived for 32 years, has made a tremendous contribution to society. He made his own contribution to Sanatana Dharma by walking 2 times from Kalati to Kashmir. In his early teens he wrote commentaries on many texts, including the Vishnu Sahasranama. On the occasion of such Mahatma's day, we are very happy to stand up in the midst of society and pay tribute to those who are doing their part in various fields.
