Minister ST Somashekar has invited agricultural products and machinery companies to invest in the State.
He was speaking at the inauguration of agricultural products exhibition.
There will be changes in agricultural sector by 2030. The “Fima Agricola” International Agricultural exhibition which was held in Spain was witnessed by many countries in the world and innovative technology and professionalism was exhibited, Somashekar said.
The Minister who had participated in the 42nd Biennial “Fima Agricola-2022” agricultural exhibition fair held in Zaragoza, Spain from April 26 to 30, has invited many agricultural products and machinery companies to Karnataka.
The problem of water and mercenaries is prominent in agriculture. But the International Agricultural Fair has also provided a solution. He added that the experts had discussed with the officials on how to make profitable farming possible by adopting sophisticated technology in agriculture.
Agricultural product and agro-machinery companies were invited to Karnataka to discuss agricultural power units, sowing machinery, planting-harvest technology, irrigation, greenhouses, garden equipment, logistic services and many other agriculture related issues.
The Karnataka government has emphasized drip irrigation and rain water harvesting. Many companies were invited to invest in supportive companies in the state, which would provide employment opportunities and enable our farmers to adopt farming practices in advanced countries. The embassy officials have responded appropriately and said that the heads of some companies would visit the state, the minister said.
More than 1300 exhibitors from over 35 countries participated in this exhibition of agricultural products and agricultural machinery, held every two years.
