Dalit organizations in the Vemgal region have called for stringent legal action against Mohit Narsimhamurthy following the circulation of provocative videos targeting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, Rural Development Minister Priyanka Kharge, and other Congress leaders. The videos, which went viral on social media, have been condemned for using offensive language and inciting communal tension.
In response, Dalit organizations submitted a petition through local inspector BP Manju to district authorities, urging immediate action. They argued that the videos spread hate, incite criminal activity, and disturb public peace, aiming to create division between communities and insult senior Congress leaders.
Prominent figures, including Channasandra Venkatesh, Congress leaders Muniraju, Devarahalli Srinivas, Malayappanahalli Thirumallappa, and others, have demanded strict measures against Narsimhamurthy, including deportation and punitive actions for attempting to provoke communal discord and disrupt social harmony.
The petitioners emphasized the dangerous consequences such actions could have on community unity and peace, with support from local leaders like Sudhakar, Anji, Nasir Ahmed, Devaraj, Ashwath Murthy, Muniraj, Belluru Narsimha, and other Congress and Dalit leaders.
