Russia’s first Deputy PM Denis set to strengthen ties with India

Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister, Denis Manturov, will visit India today(Monday), marking a significant step in bolstering the economic and trade relations between the two nations. Manturov’s visit includes participation in the Russian-Indian Business Forum in Mumbai and co-chairing the India-Russia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological, and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC) in New Delhi.

Today(Monday), Manturov will join a plenary session at the Russian-Indian Business Forum, which aims to enhance collaboration across sectors like industrial development, logistics, finance, and digital technologies. The forum, jointly organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), will focus on advancing business partnerships and addressing challenges faced by entrepreneurs in both countries.

After the forum, Manturov will travel to New Delhi to co-chair the 25th IRIGC-TEC session alongside India’s External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar. The IRIGC-TEC, which oversees a broad spectrum of bilateral projects, serves as the highest-level platform for strengthening trade, scientific, and cultural ties between India and Russia.

Manturov’s visit reflects Russia’s commitment to deepen ties with India, exploring opportunities for growth and collaboration across various industries.
