PM Modi will launch health projects worth ₹12,850 cr today

In a significant advancement for India’s healthcare sector, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch various health projects valued at approximately ₹12,850 crore on October 29. This initiative coincides with Dhanvantari Jayanti and the 9th Ayurveda Day, with the launch scheduled for around 12:30 p.m. at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in Delhi.

Among the key projects, PM Modi will inaugurate Phase II of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, which will feature a Panchakarma hospital, an Ayurvedic pharmacy, a sports medicine unit, and more. Additionally, three medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh will be inaugurated, and enhancements at several AIIMS facilities across various states will be introduced.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for five new nursing colleges in Madhya Pradesh and 21 Critical Care Blocks in multiple states under the Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. Furthermore, he will launch an expansion of health coverage for senior citizens aged 70 and above as part of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.

To improve service delivery, drone services will be launched at 11 tertiary healthcare institutions, alongside helicopter emergency medical services. A digitized vaccination process for pregnant women and infants, known as the U-WIN portal, will also be introduced.

These initiatives aim to enhance healthcare accessibility and strengthen India’s healthcare ecosystem, showcasing the government’s commitment to improving health services for all citizens.
