Nikhil Kumaraswamy NDA candidate for Channapatna

On the insistence of the workers, Nikhil Kumaraswamy will submit his nomination paper tomorrow as the NDA candidate in the Channapatna Assembly Constituency by-election, said former Prime Minister, JDS Chief H.D. Deve Gowda.
Speaking to the media after holding a meeting of JDS leaders and workers of Channapatna constituency at the party office JP Bhavan on Thursday, he announced, I will stay in Channapatna and campaign for the NDA candidate.
Nikhil Kumaraswamy expressed the hope that ordinary workers should contest. But he gave in to the pressure of activists and agreed to join the fray, he said.
We wanted to give tickets to the workers. Now due to the changed political situation and pressure from the activists, Nikhil is contesting. He opined that NDA should become strong in the state.
After the JDS meeting, HD Kumaraswamy and Nikhil Kumaraswamy went to former Chief Minister Yediyurappa’s residence in Dollars Colony. A BJP JDS coordination committee meeting was held there. Later, BS Yediyurappa also made an announcement that Nikhil Kumaraswamy is the NDA candidate for Channapatna by-election.
