Brazilian winger Raphinha marked his 100th appearance for FC Barcelona with a stunning hat-trick against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Raphinha opened the scoring just 54 seconds into the match, capitalizing on a defensive error to race through on goal and slot the ball past Manuel Neuer. He added two more goals in the first half, showcasing his impressive finishing ability.
‘This kind of match won’t be forgotten,’ Raphinha said post-match. ‘We need to focus on the next game now, but tonight will always stay in my memory.’
Since joining Barcelona in the summer of 2022, Raphinha has made significant contributions to the team, playing 74 matches in La Liga, 15 in the Champions League, and more across other competitions. He has scored 29 goals and provided 33 assists during his time with the club.
Wearing the captain’s armband for the match, Raphinha received a warm ovation from the fans when he was substituted late in the game. Barcelona coach Hansi Flick praised the winger, stating, ‘Raphinha sets an example. He always has the right attitude and gives everything in training and in matches.’
