Hubli riots case withdrawal, VHP stages protest

Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad staged a protest against the state governmentt’s decision to withdraw the Old Hubli riots case, at the Old Hubli police station.
The protesters held a massive demonstration and marched from Hanuman Temple to Indi pump. During the protest, activists raised slogans against the state. They stated that the Congress government was protecting those who threw stones at police and the temple, and justice should prevail.

They expressed anger against the Congress govt, insisting that the case against the rioters should not have been withdrawn. If the state govt does not reverse its decision, there will be a massive protest, they warned.
The protesters submitted a memorandum to the state government through   City Tahsildar Kalagouda Patil. The police department had made security arrangements to prevent any kind of untoward incidents. President Sanjeev Badaskar, Y Raghu, Ramesh Kadam and others were present.
