Kannada actor Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairy Tale is facing delays as shooting has been temporarily halted due to scheduling conflicts. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film features a star-studded cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi. While the initial release date was set for April 10, 2025, it now needs to be rescheduled.
Yash, who gained fame nationwide with his hit film KGF, recently signed on for Toxic: A Fairy Tale. Although filming began a couple of months ago, progress has slowed down due to conflicts in the actors’ schedules. Yash explained that the April release date was optimistic and that the team is encountering challenges in coordinating the schedules of actors from various film industries.
Toxic is a period drama that centers around a drug cartel operating out of Goa, described as A fairy tale for grown-ups. Initially, the makers had plans to cast Kareena Kapoor Khan as the female lead, but she eventually stepped back, leading to Nayanthara joining the project. Alongside her, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Shruti Haasan will play significant roles. A teaser for the film has already been released, and fans are eagerly awaiting more updates.
On another note, Yash is also set to star in Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he will portray Raavan alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
