Steps being taken to dispose petitions in timeframe: Minister Lad

Labour and district in-charge Minister Santosh Lad assured that the administration has been trying its best to help the people by providing solutions to their grievances at the earliest.
Speaking after receiving petitions at the district level Jana Samparka Sabha held at Zilla Panchayat meeting hall, he said the administration was disposing of the petitions in a time-frame, but there will be delay in cases which pertain to the policy decisions of the govt and which have legal complications.
Nevertheless, efforts are being made to get the files cleared at government level also, he said.
The Minister received as many as 213 petitions at the Jana Samparka Sabha. Around 1,455 petitions have been received in the seven Jana Samparka Sabhas and of them all the petitions receieved in the previous six sabhas have been disposed of and the petitioners have been informed of the action taken, he said.
In the programme, 62 petitions were concerning Revenue Department followed by 28 connected to Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation, 37 RDPR department, 12 labour issues, and nine each HESCOM and BCM department and remaining pertained to other departments.
Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu, Superintendent of Police Gopal Byakod, HDMC commissioner Ishwar Ullagaddi, senior officers from Police and Zilla Panchayat were present.
