New Delhi
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi met Civil Aviation Minister Ramamohan Naidu in New Delhi on Thursday, requesting the launch of flight services between Hubballi and Ahmedabad. Joshi, who hails from Hubballi, highlighted the city’s significance as a major commercial hub, often referred to as Chota Mumbai, with strong business ties. He emphasized the need for better air connectivity to Ahmedabad and urged the minister to also resume the Hubballi-Chennai flight service, which was previously operational.
Joshi noted that Hubballi’s airport is rapidly developing, with new infrastructure in place, making it well-suited for expanded services. Additionally, he recently led a delegation to meet Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, requesting the release of a postal stamp in honor of Queen Kittur Rani Chennamma, marking the 200th anniversary of her 1824 victory over the British.
