Anantjeet Singh Naruka secured a bronze medal in the men’s skeet event at the ongoing ISSF World Cup Final on Thursday, bringing India’s total medal count to three. The 26yearold shooter from Rajasthan scored 43 points in the sixman final, finishing third behind Italy’s Tammaro Cassandro and Gabriele Rossetti, who won gold and silver with scores of 57 and 56, respectively.

Naruka advanced to the finals after scoring 121 out of 125 in the qualification round. His podium finish follows other successes for India at the competition, including Sonam Maskar’s silver in the women’s 10m air rifle on Tuesday, and Akhil Sheoran’s bronze in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions on Wednesday. Additionally, Naruka and Maheshwari Chauhan narrowly missed out on a medal in the skeet mixed team event at the Paris Olympics, finishing fourth after losing the bronze medal match to China
