As Ola Electric users voice complaints about service issues, electric scooter manufacturer Ather Energy is also receiving negative feedback on social media regarding its products. Customers on X (formerly Twitter) have reported various problems, including hardware and software malfunctions, as well as delivery delays. Ather has responded promptly, aiming to resolve these issues.
One user shared their experience after servicing their scooter, stating, I serviced my scooter on September 14 for 10,000 kilometers. Many issues were left unaddressed due to a lack of spare parts. I escalated to atherenergy, who advised me to drop off the scooter for analysis. After dropping it off on October 3, I received it back yesterday, but the fitting was incomplete.
Another user expressed concerns about their Ather 450X, saying, When I stop accelerating, the vehicle slows down immediately. Was this always the case? Is it a software issue?
A user experiencing charger problems commented, My charger hasn’t worked for 12 days. The service center said it would take 7-8 days to get a new one, but I can’t get anyone on the phone.
Despite these complaints, Ather Energy is actively reaching out to customers to address their concerns. Meanwhile, the company has filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI to raise funds through an initial public offering (IPO), which includes a fresh equity issue worth ₹3,100 crore and an offer for sale of 2.2 crore equity shares.
