Mysuru
Prof. K Bhairavamurthy was born on May 30, 1945 in Mandya District, Kottatti Hobli, Santekasalagere Grama. His parents are K N Krishnamurthy and Gowramma. He completely his schooling in his native place, whereas studied Bachelor of Arts in Mysuru Maharaja College. He was felicitated with a MA degree from Manasa Gangothri University by achieving 3rd Rank.
Dr. GSS, DJG, CPK, Dr. H Tipperudraswamy, and many others has influenced him in literature. More than 70 institutions have felicitated him. He served as Kannada Professor at Mysuru Maharaja Evening College from 1969. After serving for the term of 36 years, he retired as professor.
He had written more than 400 columns and 3000+ contemporary vachanas. He served as president of Mandya district literary conference. Works on poetry, infant literature, witty literature, thought books, and literary criticism have been published. Has edited more than fifteen texts. Leader Vibhuti has written a huge radical congratulatory treatise on DJ Gowda.
Shivamayya, Akshaya Bruhat Abhinandana Krithis have been written about DJ Gowda. He motivated everybody who ever spoke to him. Apparently he was Lord Shiva’s devotee and he has left the world on March 1, celebrated as Mahashivarathri this year.
