Jerusalem

On Tuesday, nearly 105 rockets were fired by Hezbollah forces toward Haifa Bay, Upper Galilee, and Central Galilee, according to the Israeli military. Interceptors were deployed to counter the attack. A woman in her 70s was injured by shrapnel and taken to the hospital. In Kiryat Yam, a rocket struck a residential building.

The Israeli military reported that most of the rockets were intercepted by the Air Force, although some managed to hit the area. Hezbollah confirmed that the northern Israeli city of Haifa was targeted to support the Palestinians in Gaza and to respond to Israeli actions against civilians. This rocket barrage followed Israeli airstrikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs earlier that day.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that strikes against Hezbollah targets were conducted in Beirut. The 146th Armor Division was sent across the border with Lebanon to carry out targeted operations against Hezbollah infrastructure.

Additionally, the IDF reported that the Golani Brigade took control of a Hezbollah compound in the village of Maroun al-Ras, where weapons and underground hideouts were found. Hezbollah Deputy Leader Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that the group’s military strength remains intact, asserting that operations will continue against Israeli positions. Cross-border exchanges since October 8 have raised concerns about a wider conflict amid ongoing tensions in Gaza.
