Washim
Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleged that the Congress party is controlled by a ‘gang of urban Naxals’ and urged people to unite against its agenda. He accused Congress of exploiting the poor and failing to improve their circumstances for its own interests. During a rally in Washim district, he stated, ‘They think that if we unite, their plans to divide the country will fail.’
Modi claimed that Congress is linked to individuals who do not have India’s best interests at heart. He referenced a recent drug seizure in Delhi, suggesting that a Congress leader might be involved. He expressed that Congress has historically marginalized Dalits, backward communities, and tribals, asserting that they believe only one family should rule India.
The Prime Minister criticized Congress for allegedly misusing funds intended for farmers and irrigation schemes, saying their governments have left farmers in distress. He warned against Congress’s promises of loan waivers, citing ongoing issues in Telangana and Karnataka.
Modi highlighted Maharashtra’s potential for economic growth and mentioned the completion of various projects, including the Banjara Virasat Museum, which he believes will preserve the cultural heritage of the Banjara community. He stated that the government is committed to the welfare of farmers and is providing double assistance to them in addition to central support.
