Serve four years in the army, then face unemployment—this is your reward: Priyanka Gandhi

Bhiwani

During a public rally in Bhiwani, Haryana, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi delivered a strong criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that their ten years in power have betrayed farmers, youth, soldiers, and women. She highlighted the significance of Kurukshetra as the historic site of the Mahabharata, where Lord Krishna taught the victory of truth over falsehood. Priyanka emphasized that the people of Haryana are now rising against the BJP for the injustices faced by these groups.

She pointed out the challenges in Haryana, citing issues such as the leakage of 30 exam papers, leading to delays in recruitment and widespread unemployment. Priyanka noted that rising unemployment has contributed to drug problems in the state, alleging that the BJP government protects the drug mafia.

Criticizing the BJP’s Agnipath scheme, she remarked that it offers young recruits no pension or martyr status after serving in the army for four years. She asserted that instead of big promises, the BJP’s policies benefit a few industrialists at the expense of the common people. Priyanka expressed confidence that Congress would form a government with a significant majority, vowing to return people’s money to them in states where Congress is in power, unlike the BJP, which, she claimed, is stripping citizens of their rights to favor large corporations.
