In 2022, Applause Entertainment announced a three-season series titled Gandhi, based on Ramachandra Guha’s renowned works Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the series stars Pratik Gandhi in the lead role.
To mark Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary, the creators have officially revealed that legendary composer AR Rahman will be the music director, adding significant prestige to the production.
Currently in production, Gandhi boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Bhamini Oza, Tom Felton, Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon. The series is scheduled for release in 2025, with more updates expected soon.
