On Thursday, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will successfully establish the government in Haryana. Speaking during a campaign for a BJP candidate in the Nandgaon seat of Bhiwani district, Yadav stated that the collaboration between Haryana and Delhi, termed the double-engine government, would lead to remarkable development achievements. He noted, ‘From the feedback I am receiving, the BJP will secure all the seats in Bhiwani district and form the government’.

Earlier, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini shared similar optimism, predicting a third consecutive victory for the BJP. He claimed that voters would support the double-engine government on October 5, criticizing former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda for allegedly betraying farmers during his tenure.

In contrast, Rahul Gandhi campaigned in Assandh, Karnal, criticizing both the central and state governments. He argued that the current administration has harmed the employment landscape in Haryana and accused the Prime Minister of favoring large corporations over farmers. He stated, ‘The loans of Haryana farmers won’t be waived, but capitalists have benefitted’. Haryana’s elections are set for October 5, with results expected on October 8.
