Must read

A fire and smoke incident occurred on the Bengaluru-Guwahati Express train at Simhachalam railway station in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday evening. The fire broke out in the sleeper coach S-7, prompting the loco pilot to stop the train immediately. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the passengers.

Upon noticing the smoke, passengers were quickly evacuated from the affected coach. Fire brigade personnel arrived to check and extinguish the fire. The incident caused a delay of a few hours, but the train was able to resume its journey once the situation was under control.

Railway officials clarified that the smoke was due to a temporary brake system fault and not an actual fire. Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad confirmed that the train was stopped for 20 minutes and departed from Simhachalam at 9:30 PM.
