MP Jagadish Shettar expressed concern about officials not inviting members of parliament to the inauguration of development projects in the district. He stated that this oversight is a violation of protocol and disrespectful to the MPs. Shettar warned that if this negligence continues, the matter will be raised in Parliament.

During a quarterly District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at the Zilla Panchayat, Shettar emphasized that Lok Sabha members must be informed before any central scheme projects begin. He noted that officials failed to notify MPs about events related to central schemes at Hirebagewadi and Mutaga. He insisted that officials should come prepared with complete information regarding their departments.

Shettar also directed that every farmer affected by heavy rains in the district should receive crop compensation. He requested that a joint survey be completed promptly to facilitate relief for farmers.

Regarding the inauguration of newly constructed government hospitals, he stated that necessary doctors, staff, and equipment must be ensured before they open to the public.

The Deputy Commissioner reported that a joint survey for crop compensation has been completed, and beneficiary details have been submitted to local authorities. Compensation amounts will be transferred directly to farmers’ bank accounts soon.
