On the 52nd Anniversary of World Earth Day 2022, OIKOS (Eco Club) BMS Institute of Technology and Management, Yelahanka, Bengaluru has released its Handbook on the Flora and Fauna of its Green Campus. Authored by Dr. Rajesh Gopinath and titled as ‘NATYRA,’ it’s 1st Volume – comprising details of 107 Butterflies and 2nd Volume comprising details of 35 dragonflies and damselflies) was released by the Renowned Environmentalist Shri Suresh Heblikar, Shri Sanjai Mohan Retd. PCCF and HoFF, Karnataka Forest Department, Sri Aviram Sharma, Chairman BMSIT and Dr. Mohan Babu GN, Principal. As mark of respect for the tremendous efforts and to honour his services towards conservation of Forests and Wildlife, Shri Sanjai Mohan was presented with a self portrait depicting along side the species that he had worked for in terms of their conservation. Also on this day, Shri Suresh Heblikar was also honoured by OIKOS with the ‘Green Stewardship Award’. The book was sponsored by SCHUNK, with Appreciation message from Shri Basavaraj Bommai, Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka.
