At the Loyola Football Cup 2024, Shaurya Anand stole the spotlight with five goals, leading The Kalyani School to dominate St. Patrick’s School 8-1 in the Under-16 category. Shaurya scored in the 26th, 35th, 37th, 39th, and 46th minutes, while Jay Kore (4′), Aarav Nayar (38′), and Abrahim Somjee (33′) added a goal each. St. Patrick’s only response came from Yuvraj Pardeshi (40′).
In another high-scoring Under-16 match, Millennium National School outclassed St. Xavier’s School 8-3. Aarush Joshi (1′, 11′, 30′) and Aarit Deodhar (20′, 28′, 60′) were the top scorers, with Arjun Kaultkee (23′) and Pratamesh Gaikwad (54′) also on the scoreboard. St. Xavier’s managed two goals from Eric Pappani (55′, 59′) and conceded an own goal by Arya Inamdar (9′).
The Kalyani School also claimed a 4-1 victory over St. Patrick’s in the Under-14 category, while Millennium National School beat St. Xavier’s 3-1 in the same section. In the Under-12 matches, The Kalyani School triumphed 3-1 over St. Patrick’s, and Millennium National School edged St. Xavier’s 2-1, with Suyash Todkar netting the decisive goal in the 39th minute.
