The Tamil film ‘GOAT’ which was released in theatres on September 5 has been performing well in theatres and the movie has made more than Rs 170 crore in 7 days in India. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film is an action drama and the ensemble cast of the movie includes Vijay, Sneha, Prashanth, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhu Deva, Laila, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Vaibhav, Premji, Jayaram, Parvathi Nair among others and the music for it is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film also has Sivakarthikeyan and Trisha appearing in special cameos.
Trisha appears in the song ‘Matta’ in the film and her dance was loved by the audience. The actress grooved with Vijay on screen and it brought back the memories of the two from ‘Ghilli’ and netizens decoded that the on-screen couple were recreating their steps from ‘Apdi Podu’. While fans are rejoicing Trisha in a yellow saree in the song, it has been revealed that the initial choice before Trisha was, Sreeleela.
We earlier reported that Venkat Prabhu approached Sreeleela to appear in the dance number and she was excited, but later rejected it as she did not want to be part of the film just to appear in an item number. Venkat Prabhu had reportedly approached Sreeleela after watching her magical dance move alongside Mahesh Babu in ‘Kutchi Madathapetti’ from ‘Guntur Kaaram’.
