Ambala
On Wednesday, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Anil Vij submitted his nomination papers for the Ambala Cantonment assembly constituency ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections. Speaking after his nomination, Vij expressed confidence in securing victory, which would make him the legislator for the same constituency for the seventh consecutive time if he wins. He was accompanied by several state party leaders during the process.
Vij praised the electorate of Ambala Cantonment, noting their support has helped him win six times previously. The enthusiasm from the people today indicates that they will support me with even more votes this time, Vij remarked.
He also criticized the Congress party, accusing it of internal conflicts. Since the Election Commission announced the elections, Congress has been embroiled in a power struggle, with members fighting to undermine each other, Vij added.
The voting for Haryana’s 90-member legislative assembly is set for October 5, with vote counting scheduled for October 8. The nomination period ends tomorrow.
