Following the huge success of ‘Stree 2,’ Rajkummar Rao is diving into his next project, an action thriller titled ‘Maalik.’ On his birthday, Rao unveiled the film’s title and details, revealing that it will be directed by Pulkit. The film is a collaboration between Tips Films and Northern Lights Films. Last Friday, Rao teased the project on social media.
In his latest post, Rao shared the film’s poster and confirmed that shooting has begun. Pulkit, known for directing ‘Bhakshak’ and ‘Dedh Bigha Zameen,’ will be at the helm of ‘Maalik.’ Kumar Taurani will produce under Tips Films, and Jay Shewakramani will produce through Northern Lights Films.
Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is celebrating the success of ‘Stree 2,’ the sequel to his 2018 hit ‘Stree.’ The horror comedy, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, has exceeded Rs 600 crore globally and over Rs 450 crore in India, making it one of the top-grossing Bollywood films ever. Looking ahead, Rao will also appear in ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ with Triptii Dimri and ‘Bachpan Ka Pyar’ with Vaani Kapoor.
