A Delhi-based model has claimed that police intervened and questioned her attire while she was at Padubidri Blue Flag Beach for a photoshoot. According to her Instagram post, Khyati Shree said that while she was taking candid photos in a bikini with her husband, police officers approached them and inquired about their clothing and whether they had permission for the photoshoot.
Superintendent of Police K. Arun stated that an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) was dispatched to the beach after receiving complaints from local residents about a couple behaving indecently. The ASI informed the couple that the Blue Flag Beach is also a residential area. Subsequently, the couple left the location without further incident.
The model’s post alleged that the police officer asked for a permit to take pictures and remarked that the bikini attire was problematic to some people at the beach. The officer reportedly warned that the couple might face trouble from individuals who disapproved of the bikini.
The Superintendent of Police added that no untoward incidents were reported at the beach. He also noted that appropriate legal action would be considered if the model files a formal complaint.
