Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar stated that he is the candidate for Channapatna, asserting, ‘I am the real candidate. I filled out the form, and I am the candidate. Voters will support me regardless of other contenders.’
When questioned about issuing tickets to DP Yogeshwar, Shivakumar responded, ‘Why discuss it now? We are in an alliance, and I do not believe in speculations.’
Regarding the Channapatna job fair, Shivakumar emphasized that he intends to use his position to benefit the people. He mentioned that locals frequently ask about job opportunities and expressed plans to organize a job fair in response.
On the topic of the POCSO case involving BS Yediyurappa, Shivakumar stated that he is not familiar with the details and prefers to wait for the court’s verdict before commenting further.
Lastly, concerning the Raj Bhavan Chalo protest, Shivakumar noted that they had requested time to meet the Governor, who has agreed to the meeting. He added that the Governor had previously attended social events involving political figures from both BJP and Congress and confirmed that the meeting would proceed as scheduled.
