Due to ongoing issues with the UUCMS portal, Mangalore University (MU) has extended the deadline for undergraduate fee payments for the third time. The exams for the first, third, and fifth semesters were initially scheduled to begin on December 11, but these delays in fee payment may result in further postponements.
H Devendrappa, the registrar (evaluation) at MU, informed TOI that the original deadline for undergraduate exam fee payments was November 19. However, it was extended to November 22 due to technical glitches. Despite this extension, many students are still facing issues with the payment process, and additional problems have been reported. In response, the university reached out to officials in Bengaluru to address these glitches. Since numerous students have been unable to pay the fees, MU has decided to offer another four-day extension for fee payments. Devendrappa added that if the technical issues are not resolved soon, the university may be forced to postpone the exams.
