Pune

Protests led by Shiv Sena (UBT) continued for the fourth consecutive day following the collapse of a Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue at Rajkot Fort in Malvan, Maharashtra. The statue, which had been erected eight months ago, fell recently, leading to ongoing demonstrations.

In Pune, criticism was directed at BJP MP Narayan Rane for his alleged threats and behavior during a protest in Malvan. It was claimed that Rane attempted to disrupt peace and incite tension, with demands made for his arrest. The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra was also held responsible for Rane’s actions.

Despite efforts by the police, it was reported that Rane and his supporters blocked opposition leaders from entering the fort. Protests were also held in Mumbai and Nashik, where demonstrators expressed their opposition to the ruling party.

Further protests across Maharashtra have been planned, including a major march in Mumbai on September 1 and another protest against the state government.https://daijiworld.ap-south-1.linodeobjects.com/Linode/images3/rayan_290824_Mum1.jpg
