The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has donated three high-tech computer systems to the Udupi town police station to support local law enforcement and enhance public safety. This donation reflects MAHE’s commitment to improving community welfare and bolstering the police’s ability to address modern challenges.
Dr. HS Ballal, Pro Chancellor of MAHE, highlighted the significance of the donation. By providing these advanced systems, we aim to improve the Town police station’s effectiveness in managing data and handling cyber-related tasks, he said.
Dr. Narayana Sabhahit, Pro Vice Chancellor of Technology and Science, added that technology is crucial in modern policing. With MAHE’s advanced cyber security lab at MIT Manipal, the institution plans to offer specialized training to police personnel in the latest cyber security techniques, complementing the donation.
Dr. NS Raviraja, Chief Operating Officer of Operations, acknowledged the police’s efforts and expressed appreciation for their dedication to increasing security measures.
Punith Kumar, Sub Inspector at the Udupi town police station, thanked MAHE for the contribution, noting that the new computer systems will enhance their ability to manage investigations and improve case handling efficiency.
