Gov. gets bullet-proof car

A day after the government granted sanction to prosecute Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the MUDA scam, it has created a stir in the state politics. The Governor’s decision has evoked protests from various organizations, including the Congress. Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot has decided to use a bullet-proof car. Also, Z-category security has been provided by the police.
Protests are being held across the state against the prosecution’s sanction. As a precautionary measure, the city police have provided z-category security and use of bullet-proof cars. Sources in the Raj Bhavan said the Central Intelligence Agency has informed them not to participate in public functions till August 29.
Following a cautious approach, the Governor skipped the first convocation ceremony of Nrupatunga University near Mysore Bank Circle on Wednesday. The Governor is most likely to be absent from public functions till August 29. Siddaramaiah has approached the High Court seeking cancellation of prosecution sanction and the hearing on the plea will come up for hearing on August 29. The Court had directed that no action should be taken till then. Earlier, Governor Thaawar Chand Gehlot used to use a normal car instead of a bullet-proof car.
