West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Tuesday announced the launch of a mobile control room at Raj Bhavan to address concerns regarding the RG Kar Medical College & Hospital tragedy. This initiative allows people to communicate their views directly with the Governor’s office concerning the recent agitation over the alleged rape and murder of a second-year PG student at the hospital.
The mobile control room can be reached at 033-2200-1641 and 92890-10682. According to a statement from the Governor’s media cell, the Governor personally made the first call from this room to the deceased doctor’s family, offering support and condolences.
Following meetings with protesting students and doctors, Bose criticized the state’s handling of the case and assured justice. Some Trinamool Congress leaders have suggested that the Governor is being pressured by the Union government to submit this report.
