BJP State President BY Vijayendra has called for politics to be set aside in the case of Parashuram’s death and for the investigation to be handed over to the CBI without delay. Speaking to the media after visiting Somanala village in Karatagi taluk to offer condolences to Parashuram’s family, Vijayendra emphasized that it has been 11 days since the death, yet the responsible individuals have not been arrested. He demanded that the accused be apprehended immediately and that Parashuram’s family be compensated. He also called for a government job to be given to Parashuram’s wife.
Vijayendra criticized the state government, suggesting that political influence is hindering the case. He expressed concerns that the case might be closed if not handled by the CBI, especially given that ruling party MLAs are allegedly involved. He accused the Chief Minister of being indifferent to the family’s plight and condemned the government for its inaction and corruption. He also criticized Home Minister G. Parameshwar for dismissing calls for a CBI investigation, urging that justice for the Dalit family should be prioritized.
