International Olympic Committee (IOC) member Nita Ambani honored shooter Sarabjot Singh following his and Manu Bhaker’s impressive performance at the Paris Olympics. Their victory over South Korea’s Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin in the bronze medal play-off secured India’s second bronze medal of the games.

At the inaugural India House event at the Olympics, Nita Ambani celebrated Sarabjot’s achievement and the accomplishments of other Indian athletes. She expressed her pride, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sentiment that sports are about winners and learners, and congratulated all the athletes for their dedication and success.

Prime Minister Modi also reached out to Sarabjot, praising him for his remarkable performance and his effective partnership with Manu. Modi inquired about the secret behind their excellent teamwork, to which Sarabjot explained that he and Manu have been competing together since 2019, which has greatly contributed to their success.

This success added to Manu Bhaker’s historic achievement of winning bronze in the women’s individual 10m air pistol event, making her the first Indian woman to win two medals at a single Olympics.
