Dams and barrages across Krishna River are currently at full capacity with steady inflow. The flood situation remains under control as rainfall has temporarily ceased along the Ghataprabha and Malaprabha rivers.

According to Krishna Bhagya Jal Nigam Limited sources, the average outflow to the river was recorded at 1.5 lakh cusecs, while the average inflow stood at 1.2 lakh cusecs. Present storage levels indicate 92.9 TMC out of a total capacity of 123 TMC, with inflows continuing to rise.

In Bagalkot district, nearly all 12 barrages across the Ghataprabha River are filled to capacity, except for the Mudhol barrage which is overflowing.

Bagalkot Deputy Commissioner KM Janaki conducted visits to flood-affected villages in Bagalkot and Hunagund taluks, urging residents of areas like Rampur, Nainegali, Mankani, Domanal, and others to relocate to safer places as a precautionary measure.

The release of 1.5 lakh cusecs of water from Almatti dam has submerged the Gaddegooli Basaveshwara temple near Huvinahedagi village in Devadurga taluk, Raichuru district. Additionally, the Huvinahedagi bridge is perilously close to being submerged, with over 60 villages in Lingasugur and Raichuru taluks expected to face potential flooding. Currently, some riverside villages are already inundated, prompting the Raichur district administration to implement precautionary measures in flood-prone areas.
