The Karnataka Rakshana Vedike President, TA Narayana Gowda, has urged the state government to support the general public by introducing the language quota bill within the next fifteen days. He emphasized during a press conference that the government, elected by the public, should prioritize this bill over objections from a few self-serving industrialists. Gowda stressed that the bill must be presented in the House without yielding to pressure tactics.
If the state government fails to do so, he warned that he will call for statewide protests against the government. Gowda asserted that employment opportunities in Karnataka rightfully belong to Kannadigas and emphasized that this stance is not about seeking favors but about asserting their legitimate rights. He expressed concern that despite benefiting from various government concessions, industries in Karnataka are allegedly neglecting to hire locals.
We will observe the outcome of the next cabinet meeting, Gowda stated, indicating that if the bill is delayed again, protests will be organized against both the state government and those opposing the bill.
