Government anganwadi land in Poojanahalli village under Kannamangala Gram Panchayat of Devanahalli taluk of Bangalore rural district has been e-propertied to private individuals using fake title deed. In this context Gram Panchayat Panchayat Development Officer Srinivas has been suspended and a proper investigation has been requested by Kannamangala Gram Panchayat member Somasekar in front of Bangalore Rural District Collector’s office since Monday through a day and night sit in protest.
In this regard, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Anuradha went to the protest place on Tuesday morning and heard the problem. The case is proposed to the Commissioner of the department. An investigation team will be formed and then disciplinary action will be taken against the Panchayat Development Officer, he said. The gram panchayat member, who did not agree to this, said that Panchayat Development Officer Srinivas should be suspended first and then an investigation should be carried out, otherwise he will continue the sit-in.Former President and current member of Kannamangala Panchayat Lakshmi Kanth, members, former Zilla Panchayat Standing committee President KC Manjunath, Vishwanathapur Police Inspector Srinivas, Gram Panchayat former President KR Nagesh and others were present.
