New Office Bearers Elected For Rotary Club

At the installation ceremony of the new officers of Rotary for 2024-25, District Governor DGR Satish Madhavan praised Rotary International as a beneficial organization for social service and membership expansion. He highlighted Rotary’s humble beginnings with only 26 dollars, evolving into a global organization proud of its involvement in social service with 1.7 billion dollars.
Nine years ago, Rotary Silk City started as the second organization in Ramanagar after many years. Madhavan emphasized the need to increase membership from 71 to 100 members and urged the new office bearers to initiate a youth Rotary organization in Ramanagar alongside their social service efforts.
The newly appointed president KN Shridhar expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him as the 9th President. He pledged to uphold the legacy of Rotary Silk City with guidance from his predecessor and aimed to secure 50 awards by the next year, seeking cooperation from all members.
During the event, students excelling in SSLC and PUC examinations, as well as children making significant contributions in various fields, were honored. District Secretary Raghavendra Inamdar, Zonal Governor N Ravi Kumar N., Assistant Governor R Mallesh, Zonal Secretary Gaviraj, Rotary Silk City Secretary S Ramalingaiah, outgoing President Sunil, and other dignitaries attended the ceremony.
