Mannettina Amavasya At Male Mahadeshwara Hills, Thousands Of Devotees Visit Temple

On Mannetti Amavasya, Lord Mahadeshwara received anointment with fresh water, milk, and panchamrita abhisheka since early morning on Friday. Sri Kshetra witnessed thousands of devotees who came to have darshan of Mahadeshwara and performed services like gold chariot, silver chariot, basava vahana, tiger chariot, and rudrakshi mandapam.
Devotees from various villages of Tamil Nadu state and nearby districts such as Bangalore, Ramanagara, Kanakapura, Mysore, Mandya, Bangalore Rural, Chamarajanagara, Nanjangud, Tumakuru, and Kolar visited the shrine. Those above 60 years were permitted direct access at the main gate of the Rajagopuram. Sri Male Mahadeshwar Development Authority provided drinking water and shaded areas for queuing devotees.
On this occasion, thousands of devotees were served Bisibele bath, sweet pongal, puliyogare, colour rice, buttermilk rice, tomato bath, rice sambar, payasa, rasam, and upma at Sri Kshetra. The Dasoha Bhavan also saw a significant number of visitors, where Authority Secretary AE Raghu distributed Prasada to the devotees.
Due to the influx of devotees arriving in various vehicles like two-wheelers, cars, goods vehicles, and buses, a traffic jam persisted for over an hour at Ane Tore Dimba. Subsequently, police managed to ease the congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow.
