The absence of a health department in Sringeri Constituency, Koppa, NR Pura, and Sringeri has been highlighted by JD(S) State Vice President S Sudhakar Shetty. He criticized the state government for neglecting rural areas and prioritizing Bangalore, leaving the middle class and poor without adequate hospital care. In Sringeri constituency, nearly 90 percent of health department positions remain unfilled. For instance, out of 10 sanctioned posts for Koppa Taluk Health Officers, three are vacant. Similarly, at Koppa Public Hospital, 61 out of 98 sanctioned posts are unfilled. Additionally, 11 out of 59 outsourced positions are vacant.
Shetty emphasized the need for local leaders and MLAs to address these issues promptly and bring them to the government’s attention for filling the vacant positions. The press conference was attended by Constituency President Diwakar Bhat, Francis Cardoza, Ramaswamy Kagga, Vasu, and others.
