Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s involvement is being discussed in the MUDA scam, with former Chief Minister MP Jagadish Shettar demanding an immediate CBI investigation. Speaking to the media in the city on Friday, he stated that the plot allocation was allegedly done on a 50:50 basis. Shettar emphasized the need to first understand the site allocation rules before further discussion. He pointed out that these events transpired during the BJP government’s tenure. Siddaramaiah denies any wrongdoing, asserting that the plot was allocated in his wife’s name, accusing others of spreading misinformation. Shettar held Siddaramaiah responsible, suggesting that a CBI investigation would reveal the truth.
Meanwhile, allegations of various scams during the Congress government’s tenure are emerging. Former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has been summoned in connection with an old POCSO case, which he claims is a political conspiracy. Shettar criticized the government for allegedly trying to divert attention from scandals like the Valmiki scandal and the MUDA scam. He expressed confidence that Yediyurappa would be proven innocent through due legal process, despite the political backdrop influencing these actions.
