Former Chief Minister and MP Basavaraj Bommai stated that no Congress members have contacted the BJP, but there is internal discord within the ruling party. He mentioned that Congress members have openly expressed their opinions about the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. Bommai refrained from commenting on statements made by the pontiffs and said decisions about the Chief Minister and the number of Deputy Chief Ministers are left to the Congress.

He suggested waiting to see how many Deputy Chief Ministers are appointed, noting that Congress has introduced new definitions regarding this issue, but real politics is different. Bommai said he had not noticed the removal of the term ‘Veerashaiva’ from textbooks. If it has been removed from the 9th standard textbooks, he urged the state government to rectify it.

When asked about former Minister Murugesh Nirani contesting from the Shiggaon assembly constituency, Bommai said he had not discussed it with Nirani.

Bommai responded to a statement by legislative council Chief Whip Saleem Ahmed, who said Bommai was daydreaming about the state government’s downfall. Bommai asked Ahmed to understand the dynamics within the legislative assembly and the conflicts among ministers. Regarding the dengue outbreak, Bommai emphasized the need for the government to take preventive measures.
