MP Jagdish Shettar assured that all possible steps will be taken to develop Savadatti Yallamma temple on the lines of Tirumala and Srisailam temples.
Speaking to media, after visiting Yallammagudda with his family, Shettar said Yallammagudda is a major religious and tourism hub. Crores of devotees visit the temple for darshan and the fair.
The central government has sanctioned Rs 11 crore for the development of this sector during the period of MP Mangala Angadi. A plan has been made to undertake some works. I have asked the temple management to give a list of works that needs to be taken up, he said.
I already held a meeting with the officials of the railway department to discuss the issue of railway connection to Yallammagudda. All efforts will be made in this regard, he assured. Jagadish Shettar and his wife Shilpa Shettar were felicitated by the temple development committee.
Sneha Pradeep Shettar, MLA CC Patil, Temple Development Committee President Basayya Hiremath, Executive Officer SPB Mahesh, Virupaksha Mamani, Ratna Mamani, Saurabh Chopra and Jagadish Kaujageri were present.
