MYSURU

If the government extends support and cooperates, we will revive Devaraja market said Pramodadevi Wodeyar of Mysuru royal dynasty.

She was speaking to media persons at Chamundi Hills.  Commenting on the heritage committee's approval of Devaraja Market, she said, "It is not reasonable to demolish the market. Two opinions are expressed in the Heritage Committee. The market can be revived by hiring the right experts, she said.
The Rajendra Vilas Palace had also reached  dilapidated condition. We have revived it.  If it is undertaken, will not become difficult.  There is an emotion for everyone on heritage buildings, the Devaraja market can be saved by strong commitment.  We should continue to collect everyone's opinions. It should not become a work to hurt people's feelings. If decisions are taken to protect the interests of people, such protests will not happen, she said.
It is happy to see that the villagers of Chamundi Hills have built statue of Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar.  The contributions of Maharaja have been commemorated.  Let Goddess Chamundeshwari do good to all, she said.
